Frequently asked questions

Power Mode is the default setting when your device is switched on. You can toggle between the three modes pressing the Mode Button underneath the main Activation Button. You can also use your SmoothSkin Pure device in stamp mode to treat smaller areas or in glide mode to treat larger areas fast. Stamp mode is activated by pressing the SS button once. Glide mode is activated by keeping the SS button firmly pressed whilst you glide over the treatment area. Your device will flash continuously for an ultra-fast and smooth treatment.

This is caused by residual hairs, stubble or debris on the surface of the skin and won’t affect the device’s performance in any way, it’s purely cosmetic.

In the future, make sure you have shaved and cleaned the area you wish to treat immediately prior to treatments.

If you’re still concerned, please contact us for further advice.

First make sure:

SmoothSkin Pure features unlimited flashes, for results to last a lifetime. All products include 2 years’ manufacturers’ warranty against faults.

Our unique Smart Skin sensor automatically delivers safe optimal treatments tailored to your skin. When the Skin Tone Sensors are placed on the treatment area the blue light emitted by the Sensors is reflected back from your skin. The device then not only detects your skin is appropriate for treatment but also tailors the power delivered to your unique skin tone, to maximise your results safely.

To get the most out of your SmoothSkin Pure you should start off by using it once a week for 12 weeks continuously. There is no increased benefit from using your SmoothSkin Pure more than once a week.

In the first few weeks, you will still see some hairs growing – relax. These will likely be the hairs that were not treated in their growth phase (when IPL is most effective). Just be sure to keep up with the treatments. From around 4 weeks, you should be seeing a reduction in hair regrowth. There will still be some hairs that need treating as you need to catch each hair in the right phase, but don’t worry, things will only get better from here on in – so keep it up!

Once you have completed your initial 12-week treatment period, you just need to do a quick top-up treatment as required to maintain your results – usually once every 4-8 weeks or so.
