Have you pressed the STANDBY / READY button? Has the button changed from BLUE to WHITE? If you do not use the device for 3 minutes the button will return to BLUE and be in STANDBY mode which means it will not flash. Press the STANDBY / READY button and make sure it is WHITE before trying to treat. If your device is still not working please contact us for help.

When the Skin Tone Sensors are placed on the treatment area the blue light emitted by the Sensors is reflected back from your skin. The device then not only detects your skin is appropriate for treatment but also tailors the power delivered to your unique skin tone, to maximise your results safely.
To get the most out of your SmoothSkin Muse you should start off by using it once a week for 12 weeks continuously. There is no increased benefit from using your SmoothSkin Muse more than once a week.
In the first few weeks, you will still see some hairs growing – relax. These will likely be the hairs that were not treated in their growth phase (when IPL is most effective). Just be sure to keep up with the treatments. From around 4 weeks, you should be seeing a reduction in hair regrowth. Doesn’t it feel fantastic? There will still be some hairs that need treating as you need to catch each hair in the right phase, but don’t worry, things will only get better from here on in – so keep it up!
Once you have completed your initial 12-week treatment period, it’s plain sailing. You just need to do a quick top-up treatment as required to maintain your results – usually once every 4-8 weeks or so.
