Carefully wipe with a soft, dry cloth and ensure that the glass filter is undamaged after every use. Please see your user guide for further guidance.

No, there should not be any glass against the skin. The glass filter is recessed back into the device.

This is perfectly normal, the lamp is quality engineered and has passed the highest standards of quality checks. This does not affect the power output.

It’s possible that the area you are trying to treat is not suitable for IPL treatment. SmoothSkin Pure FIT includes an intelligent skin tone sensor that automatically detects your skin tone and selects the optimal treatment setting. Due to the nature of Intense Pulsed Light technology, SmoothSkin Pure FIT is not suitable to treat very dark skin tone or Fitzpatrick skin tone 6. Please check our skin tone chart for more information.

This is caused by residual hairs, stubble or debris on the surface of the skin and won’t affect the device’s performance in any way, it’s purely cosmetic.

In the future, make sure you have shaved and cleaned the area you wish to treat immediately prior to treatments.

If you’re still concerned, please contact us for further advice.

First make sure:

  • the power supply is plugged in
  • the skin tone sensor on the front of device is illuminated
  • the skin sensors are pressed firmly against the skin for good contact
